Glamour Girl – Fall-ing for Fedora’s charms in Autumn! Fedora was a hot-to-trot fashion ‘must have’ this summer, and with the cooler months creeping in it seems as though the fedora is taking you into fall with shades of grey, darker hues and classic black. Zoe our resident stylist gives us the lowdown on purchasing the perfect Fedora for you. Zoe states: “Key issues to consider when purchasing your fedora is skin tone, hair colour and most importantly, the shape of your face determines what looks good on you. People are more open to new ideas and willing to experiment with haircuts these days, and hats are great for emphasizing a new hairstyle.”

Zoe breaks it down by hairstyles: “Women with bangs or long hair tend to look better in berets, while women with short hair, which is huge right now, look amazing with cloches because they really accent the chin and are dynamic.”

When it comes to cooler months the knitted hat will become a frosty essential.  “Small faces look the best with these caps because they aren’t overwhelming.” Girls with “bangs and berets definitely complement each other,” states Zoe. While Heidi Megele Fashion writer and style scout advises: “don’t pull it down to far over your head, or make the common mistake of wearing it at a tilt!” Heidi also adds that if you like hats but feel the Fedora might not be for you, opt for the newboy or cabbie cap, this style suits the oval face best.
