She’s hot, she’s young, she sassy and she’s been creating fabulous leather designs before leather was named the ‘It’ material of the season. Her designs are an indulgence in classic black another strong trend for this coming fall. Charlotte Alexander talks sexy frocks and works it with her rock chick designs. We can see the likes of Ms. Moss falling head over heels for one of Charlotte’s leather inspired designer dresses which offers just the right amount of flesh and fabric to get that sexy rock chick look, that Kate is so fond of.

In profile

Training and education: I have been studying Fashion design for four years and have completed a Fashion and Clothing BTEC National Diploma and a BA Honours degree in Fashion Design. 

On showing her collections: I was invited to show my collection at Graduate fashion Week, and was shortlisted for the Womenswear Gold Award by a panel of judges that included Victoria Beckham and other fashion industry experts. The whole experience was exhausting, enjoyable and at times frustrating but one that I would not of missed for the world. From showing at such a prestigious event, I have already begun to receive enquiries from designers and fashion houses.

If you could work for any design house which one would it be and why? Balenciaga ... Need I say why?

Who do you think is the most influential designer at present and why? There are so many... too hard to say?

What is your most wanted fashion garment/item/accessory at present and why? Extremely tight patent leather trousers, in all colours !!!  I love my leather!

If you were to describe your personal style in one word what would it be? Edgy !!!

If you were to describe yourself in one word what would it be? Wild !!!!
 
What trend do you think will be huge this coming fall? Space Odyssey, I love the space-goddess trend, women dressed as goddesses!! Metallics and leather are a must! (for me anyhow!)

The Collection

Collection Title: EPITHUMIA - Desire for the Forbidden

Playing with seduction. Plunging into the mysterious. Masked not to be seen. 'Epithumia' is a collection inspired by the underworld, people's desires and secrets. Lust, Sin, mysterious, forbidden, erotic and indecent are some key elements to this collection.  Garments are feminine and beautiful suggesting and underlying freedom but are augmented by harnessing bodices with belt detailing and buckles pulling the garments claustrophobically around the body, playing, teasing and changing the silhouette in many ways. Colour palette is sombre and disquieting, deeply tinted darks vibrate like gloomy jewels.  Secretly metallic, extremely matt and absolute shiny, they emerge violent or melancholic, severe or indecent.
