X Factor winner Alexandra Burke was positively beaming as she stepped out in London's shopping mecca, Bond Street.
But it was a small wonder she didn't trip up as she braved the winter chill in a bright pink cardigan, which she teamed with a pair of floor-skimming flared jeans.
In fact, she looked as if she had taken a leaf from mentor Cheryl Cole's style book, as the Girls Aloud star is quite a fan of the flared jean which has made a fashion comeback of late.
Alexandra looked extremely svelte from hip to knee - a result of her busy schedule during the X Factor - but then her jeans got considerably wider.
The stunning 20-year-old has described Cheryl as 'her closest friend', and it seems that she is having a great influence on her in all areas.
Alexandra has said: 'I can't call her my mentor, she is my closest friend. She made my life, she gave me a second chance, she trusted me and she's always been there.'
It was a dressed down look for the Hallelujah singer who earlier this week looked stunning as she arrived for dinner at Knightsbridge restaurant Mr Chow’s in a little black dress.
Alexandra treated older sister Sheniece to a night out at the celebrity haunt, where they were joined by friends.
The pair are close and she has spoken of how she and Sheniece shared a single bed at the family’s cramped home, crediting the 23-year-old for encouraging her to to pursue her dreams.
The 20-year-old's cover of the Leonard Cohen single was the Christmas No.1, becoming the fastest-selling single of 2008.
Alexandra and her family have been plagued by problems since her rise to fame.
Her mother Melissa Bell, who suffers from diabetes, was undergoing gruelling kidney dialysis during her time on the X Factor, leaving the Hallelujah singer torn between her professional and personal commitments.
‘I have a wonderful family but it hasn't always been easy. Now I know they are all there for me every step of the way,’ Alexandra said after her win.
Last week Melissa denied claims that she has been paid money for singing at gigs while still receiving disability and income support benefit payments.
The former Soul II Soul singer said she was 'outraged' at the allegations.
Meanwhile it has recently been revealed that Alexandra’s half brother is being investigated by immigration officials after allegations that he is working illegally in Britain.
