Olsen demands immunity from probers before she’ll agree to talk!

After the untimely death of Heath Ledger due to a suspected accidental drug overdose many questions arose as to the role of Mary Kate Olsen in this tragic incident. Many of the actor’s admirers stated that it was absurd to raise questions regarding Mary-Kate’s involvement and it seems that police agreed as they concluded their investigation into Ledger’s death without even interviewing the young actress. However the Post has repeatedly pointed out that Mary Kate was told of Ledger’s death before emergency responders and her body guards may have arrived at his apartment just before paramedics, who Olsen incidentally did not call. The post continuing its coverage on the story reports that federal investigators probing the accidental drug death of her close friend Heath Ledger would like to interview in specific how Ledger obtained the powerful painkiller OxyContin without a prescription but the actress has refused to speak with officers unless she receives immunity from prosecution. The Post reports: Investigators “are trying to ID the source of the OxyContin,” a source said. “Did it come from a dealer, from a friend? If he had a bottle from a friend, was it taken by someone else before police responded? That is what is trying to be determined.” Interestingly Olsen refuses to talk until she gets immunity from prosecution and one cannot help but wonder immunity from what?

Olsen’s image and reputation is at stake and perhaps it is the need to uphold a certain image that has resulted in the young actress trying to get immunity in the first however her refusal to co-operate and her lawyers playing hard ball for immunity could hurt her public image anyway.
