Agyness Deyn Super Chic

November 19, 2008

Sometimes I wonder if Agyness Deyn is really a model because she certainly doesn’t always dress to impress. Many times, she is walking around in oversized t-shirts and looking a bit on the sloppy side. So I have to give her props for this tailored number she’s wearing. I despise the female suit, but this particular one is super chic and fun. Good job, Agyness, for looking the part.Story Covered by:fashionindie

Kristen Stewart@Twilight premiere

November 19, 2008

For her first blockbuster premiere, Kristen Stewart certainly rose to the occassion while donning a Balenciaga viscose dress and Chanel jewels to the L.A. screening of Twilight. Thousands of fans turned out for the Los Angeles premiere for “Twilight,” while the star of the movie, Kristen Stewart, lounged around the red carpet looking bored and heavily medicated.Much like myself, Kristen doesn’t understand the “retarded” fans who staked her out around the set of the movie during filming.Story Covered by:celebwarship

Donna Karan Urban Zen Store Meets Hollywood

November 19, 2008

Donna Karan has brought Urban Zen to West Hollywood. The designer last month opened the first West Coast version of her philanthropic retail concept on a trendy stretch of Robertson Boulevard, near Melrose Avenue.

The 1,400-square-foot store took just a few weeks to remodel. Karan’s goal is to find and use spaces that don’t require conversion, simply redecoration. The walls of the open, rectangular space are gray and the ceiling is black, with two skylights. The back of the store is a tree-lined courtyard with wooden benches and a rock garden, with Indian bells hanging from the trees and decorative wooden temple doors lining parts of the enclosed outdoor space.Story Covered by:wwd

2008 42nd Annual Country Music Awards

November 18, 2008

Hollywood hit Nashville at the 42nd Annual Country Music Awards, where starlets made an impression with their style sense on the red carpet. Taylor Swift in a metallic Kaufmann Franko gown. Her sequin and crystal embellished gown is just amazing. Much improved from Monday’s Glamour Awards. Reese Witherspoon wears a black lace Marchesa gown. The lace cut-out details adds a dramatic effect to the gown, and the bold red lips adds to the overall vampy seductive look. Julianne Hough sports a one shoulder Angel Sanchez dress. She sparkled with Daniel Swarovski bracelets and clutch. Miley Cyrus opted for colour over sparkle, wearing a white Roberto Cavalli halter neck gown with a colourful floral detail on the base of her gown, and black sequin detail on the waist and neckline. Lara Stone’s High Heeled Mishap

November 18, 2008

Lara Stone readily admits that she can’t walk in heels, and she wasn’t kidding. Although she handled them just fine for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, she appeared at the after-party wearing flips flops, her ankle wrapped, which seems to verify the rumors last week that she had trouble wearing the Nicholas Kirkwood for Rodarte heels at an editorial shoot and had to go to the emergency room because of an accident.Story Covered by:fashionologie

Sam Ronson Lashes Out at PETA for Lindsay Lohan Fur Debacle

November 18, 2008

Remember that scene in Zoolander when an anonymous activist throws an egg at Mugatu (i.e. Will Ferrell)? I couldn’t help but think of that scene when I read that someone had thrown a bag of flour on Lindsay Lohan outside a Paris nightclub because she was wearing a fur stole. I guess Sam was NOT pleased, so she wrote a scathing rant on her MySpace page against Lindsay’s attacker:

There is a fine line that distinguishes the difference between exercising our freedom of expression and offending others, for example the debate regarding freedom of speech vs. hate speech…. i feel that this principle should apply to protestors also. It’s a pity that some groups feel the need to assault people as opposed to fighting with words.

Whenever I feel the need to vent about something that feels unfair to me I reach for my computer, I don’t run out of the house with abusive intentions. I don’t expect everyone to react the same way, but I do expect people to respect each other. Maybe that’s my first mistake? It seems lately I am learning that there are too many people who put another species before their fellow man and that’s sad. I don’t wear fur, but I don’t think I have the right to ATTACK those who do. No one has that right.

Eye-catching Eva brings sartorial drama to Dior expo in Beijing

November 18, 2008

Self confessed “eccentric dresser” Eva Green has earned something of a reputation for her unusual red carpet choices. And one the beautiful brunette pulled off with considerable aplomb as she attended the Christian Dior And Chinese Artists exhibition.

Also making the trip out East to help launch the show, which comprised of over 20 specially commissioned works by leading Chinese artists displayed alongside the Christian Dior creations which inspired them, was Marion Cotillard and J’Adore face Charlize Theron.
